Gold Program

The Gold Member program is a fast track study which is ideal for anyone who wants to move at a faster pace – maybe “catch up” after years of inactivity or frustration.

This program provides you with four customized lessons per month, support, an evolving base of valuable music, jazz guitar and career information as well as jazz guitar video tips.

Cost is an issue for everyone. I wanted to make sure that you can enroll in these studies for less than the cost of in person study.

The Gold Member program is $160 per month.

Once you begin, this rate will be yours for life. It will not go up. The only condition is that you remain on the program to qualify for this rate freeze.

The Process

Each lesson will consist of one assignment from each of the five skills.

  1. Technique
  2. Jazz Chords and their Applications
  3. Street Theory
  4. Jazz Improvisation
  5. Repertoire

Melody, Jazz Chord Comping, Improvisation and Chord and Melody style

• Each subsequent lesson advances the material in each category.

• The material is progressive and cumulative which helps maximize your retention and your ability to apply it.

An individual lesson can include explanatory text, pdf files, video clips, mp3 files, links and jpgs. Some lessons have more of one than the other, depending on the nature and the needs of the assignment.

It’s important to be aware that this is not a site in the traditional sense. It’s a portal through which I send material to you for your development on the jazz guitar. The lessons are customized for each student. It’s not a constant stream of prewritten information. Using a private lesson as an example, my private students see me once a week for a lesson. I don’t typically have contact with them in between lessons unless they have a question or a problem.

My online students are encoursaged to interact with me as much and as often as they want. Students of Jazz Guitar Studies are encouraged to send videos, questions and comments. If you would like to send a video or an audio demonstrating your current lesson, feel free. I’ll review any submitted material and be back to you ASAP.

As Jazz Guitar Studies grows and expands, there will be more bonus material available. This material will be in the Resources section and will also be posted in the group section.
